This solid teak set consists of a 100cm round folding table and 4 Lincoln folding chairs. The Teak is in its natural state and is completely untreated. You have the option of leaving it as it is or applying Teak Oil, which will darken the wood but will not prolong its life - just personal preference!
Teak is recognised as one of the best woods to use for outdoor use. It is a hardwood with a low density, making it hard for the weather to penetrate. The effect that the sun has on the wood is to burn out all the natural oils present in Teak and by oiling the wood with Teak oil, you are replacing the oil already burnt or topping up that which is still present. You should note that Teak does have a tendency to form small cracks or fissures in the wood, running with the grain. This is quite natural and is caused by the wood drying out. This is not a fault with the product and is a natural occuring phenomenom. A good Teak item should last for a lifetime and a period of 75 years would not be unusual!
All items are alredy assembled and will just need unpacking and a quick dust down before use.
