The Paradiso hammock is available in 6 different colours and is described as XXL because of the size of the actual sheet of material. This measures 250cms x 175cms wide and will take a weight load of up to 200Kg (around 31 stone). Including the hanging threads and loops, the overall length of this hammock is 360cms.
The colour of this Paradiso hammock is described as Terracotta and consists of end to end stripes in varying widths, in orange, red and brown shades. The hammock is 100% cotton and has been independently tested to ensure that it is Eco friendly and does not contain any harmful substances - so ideal for the kids to play on as well!
The Paradiso is made by Amazonas and is hand crafted in their own factory in Brazil. The factory employs about 100 people from a poor area in Brazil but they guarantee that no children are involved in the manufacturing process!
Amazonas recommend that, when you are hanging the hammock, the loops at each end should be 300cms apart. This will give the natural shape to the material. Also, the loops at each end should be 150cms off the ground. There are no accessories with the hammock and you may wish to consider purchasing extra ropes, chains, hanging hooks or cleats to achieve the perfect result. These are all available from us. For your information, the manufacturer also recommends that you should lie diagonally across the hammock, to try and keep your back as straight as possible.
If you don't have any naturally occuring supports, you may wish to consider purchasing a strong hammock stand. There are several available from Amazonas on this site with laminated wooden stands (Arcus, Olymp and Apollo) and a tubular steel stand (Vario) fitting this hammock. There is also a stand (Madera) just for one end of the hammock, if you have one suitable tree in your garden!
Extremely strong and yet not expensive, we feel that the Amazonas hammocks offer real value for money and you should get bags of fun from this practical and hard wearing hammock.
The hammock will be supplied in a matching colour cotton bag. Stand, pillows and fittings are not included in the price, but are available on request.
