Garden Swing Bench
Garden swing seats are forever popular in the garden and we have a range to suit everyone. We have wooden, metal and two or three seater benches. If you already have a swing seat, we may be able to help with some spare parts, such as cushions or canopies, so please don't be afraid to ask us! Imagine a nice hot summer day, laying on your seat in complete comfort. The majority of our seats are manufactured in Sweden and this ensures that the quality is second to none and the finished item is something of substance. Outdoor furniture in the form of a garden swing seat is the ultimate luxury for the garden.
KWA Luxury Hammocks
As has already been mentioned, the majority of our swing benches are supplied by KWA, a Swedish producer, and we are the sole agent in the UK. The exception to this is the Globo circular or oval seat, from another supplier. We have been dealing with KWA for a number of years now and took over the sole agency in 2010. We have visited the factory and witnessed the production of both the metal and wooden products. Both entirely different methods, as you can imagine. The wooden products are mass produced with automated machinery sorting and cutting the wood to the correct specification, and even sorting out knotted wood, which is not used. The wood is then treated and dried and packed for dispatch. All of the wood in the KWA product is sourced locally from the Swedish forests and is FSC sustained by replanting. KWA also produce a huge range of garden tables & chairs and it is our wish to include them on our site at some stage.
Swinging Garden Bench
The metal seats are available as a 3 seater Belfry or a two seater Eton. Similar in design, both have a tubular steel frame with a traditional "A" frame shape at each end. There is a sturdy crossbar which supports the seat and holds the ends in place. Both the Eton and Belfry have a "sprung" seat, which means that underneath the cushions, the seat has a criss-cross of short wire pieces, interwoven, to add a certain amount of flexibility to the seat when you sit on it. Some others have a solid support or perhaps straps, which are not flexible, and therefore rely solely on the cushions for comfort. The Eton and Belfry use the same cushions, which are 10cms thick and very hard wearing. Cushions are included and consist of two or three main cushions plus two scatter cushions. Colours for the Belfry are Green, Anthracite or Blue. The wooden swing seats are the Wentworth, Rosendal or the Vaggeryd. Each of them is slightly different is design, but they are very well manufactured and of superb quality. Cushions are optional but we would recommend you purchase them at the same time, unless you already have some. All swing benches are delivered in flatpack form and will require assembly. One person can manage the majority of the assembly but two people will be required at the latter stages to affix the top bar and hang the seat assembly. |
