Traditional Garden Furniture
We have a range of Provence style garden furniture which immitates styles from France, popular in this country. All metal garden furniture, generally made of steel, with either self assembly garden chairs and garden tables or folding furniture, where possible. The garden benches in particular are generally folding. Garden furniture sets in this range are either two seater bistro sets or four seater dining sets, the most popular sizes of outdoor furniture. Metal Outdoor Dining Seats
In selecting this style of furniture to sell, we here at Gardencast were looking for something a little different from the norm. The French have always had a certain style about them and French garden furniture is traditionally different from our own. These days, we probably all purchase similar goods but we thought it would be nice to offer some of what we thought would capture that "Je ne sais quoi" flavour of France. All of this range of furniture is therefore meant to reflect the past days of French furniture, bringing out the intricacy and beauty that these designs can offer. Provence is an area of France which is quite affluent and garden furniture would have been, and still is, abundant in that area. Whilst all the furniture in these pages is brand new, it has been factory treated to look old and naturally worn, so that on first inspection, it would appear that you have either purchased it second hand, as an authentic original, or you have simply owned it for a few years yourself! Either way, we are sure that you will be delighted with the products on offer and you will find a place in your garden or patio to suit. The designs are quite ornate but pleasing to the eye and we hope you agree that the prices are reasonable.
Patio Chairs & Tables
The majority of this garden furniture, whether it be the garden benches or the table and chairs sets, are delivered in flatpack form. However, most of the items fold and so when you open the boxes, most items should be ready to use. Predominantly made of steel, the items will feel quite heavy, which is good for the garden, and they are powder coated, which means that the paint is baked on at the factory. The "ageing" process is completed after the initial painting. Unfortunately, steel can rust and so we would always recommend using "touch-up" paint where any paint in accidentally chipped away. Also, during the winter months, it would be a good idea to store this furniture in a dry place (e.g. the garage) and this should not present too great a problem for the folding sets. As well as the garden tables and chairs, we have a small selection of round tree seats and some garden arches. The tree benches are designed, of course, to surround a tree in the garden, to provide a peaceful resting place in a lovely setting. You will have to check the diameter of the tree first, before you buy! Garden arches can be placed anywhere and wiil assist the growth of climbing flowers or shrubs. Some arches will look good over a garden path and will look charming when the climbers reach up and over the top. |
