Cast Aluminium garden furniture Cast aluminium garden furniture has a lot of positives and not many negatives. This garden furniture requires very little maintenance, apart from cleaning, and you can leave it outdoors in all weathers. Cast Aluminium cannot rust and the paint is "powder coated", meaning that it is baked on at the factory, giving a very hard waring finish. Outdoor furniture made from cast aluminium should last for years and we would anticipate 15 years minimum before you have to do anything at all (subject to normal useage). The metal is solid and sturdy and, as metal garden furniture goes, cast aluminium is a winner!
Outdoor furniture
Because of the qualities of this type of garden furniture, you will find it hard to better the longevity of cast aluminium garden furniture. Modern production methods do not use any kind of iron ore, the major cause of rust, and, of course, as there is none of this substance present in cast aluminium, the rust risk is zero. Without the danger of rust, this outdoor furniture is ideal, and can be used throughout the year, even during the winter! You will need to clean your garden furniture and we would recommend warm soapy water and a soft brush or cloth. This will remove dirt and grime which can accumulate on any outdoor item. Alternatively, you could purchase a furniture cover, which will remove the likelyhood of those pesky birds using you furniture as target practice! If you do damage your garden furniture in any way, for instance you chip the paintwork, there is always some "touch-up" paint available. For small chips, this can be applied direct to the affected area using a small brush or a cotton bud. Larger areas should have a metal primer applied first. You must always use enamel paint for the top coat and any powdery substance which may have arisen (oxidisation) should be removed before painting. In other words, make sure the surface is clean and dry before painting.
Cast aluminium garden table and chair sets
The majority of outdoor garden furniture in the cast aluminium range will be garden table and chair sets. This is because the molten metal can be formed into virtually any shape in a mould and the varity of designs of garden chairs and garden tables is therefore enormous. There are some garden chair styles that date back to Victorian times, still in production today, and some styles that are modern and contemporary. We have tried to select a mixture of both styles and believe that our stock range fulfills everyone's need. Colours, at the moment, are predominantly Black or White, or shades of, and this is a fashion thing. Green was very fashionable for garden table and chair sets a few years ago, but demand for this colour has fallen away. There are always other colours in the background, Grey, Cream, Bronze, Blue, Topaz, but these come and go and have never been best sellers. One final point is that the majority of our cast aluminium garden furniture is supplied in flatpack form, meaning that we can carry a range of replacemnet parts, for those really serious accidents. Garden table legs and garden chair arms and legs can all be replaced and we are used to supplying all of these items.
